Position Summary...
The (WMUS Supply Chain) Director, Learning and Development leads the design and execution of comprehensive training strategies aligned with business objectives. By collaborating with key stakeholders, the director drives talent development, performance management, and organizational growth. The Walmart Academy Supply Chain team develops and delivers training that enhances critical skills and leadership capabilities, including coaching, communication, and problem-solving. This team supports supply chain operations by preparing leaders to manage evolving processes, technology, and work methods effectively. Focused on continuous improvement, the team designs learning strategies that align with business goals and drive performance. Members collaborate closely with business partners to ensure training meets organizational needs and fosters adaptability. The team is committed to building strong leadership and talent development programs that enable sustained operational excellence and future readiness.
What you'll do...
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives and desired outcomes.
- Oversee creation, testing, and evaluation of training methods and materials across digital and physical formats.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with business partners to ensure clarity of roles and integration of training feedback.
- Manage training projects, including capacity planning, documentation, and issue resolution, while updating leadership on progress.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Analyze learner needs and adapt content to address knowledge gaps and behavioral changes.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating operational processes and promoting a culture of learning and accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
