The Manager, Offsite Energy Investments will lead strategic partnerships with renewable energy developers to secure programmatic access across Walmart’s global footprint. This role involves managing pipelines, supporting long-term power purchase agreements, and driving project execution through root cause analysis and corrective actions. The Offsite Energy Investment Team leads utility-scale, grid-connected clean energy projects by partnering with developers, utilities, policymakers, and internal stakeholders. This team enhances grid resilience, expands clean energy capacity, and manages long-term energy costs. Focused on strategic partnerships, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, the team supports sustainable energy solutions that create value for the business and communities served while driving progress toward renewable energy goals.
What you'll do...
- Originate, structure, and negotiate power purchase agreements (PPAs) to secure cost-effective, reliable, and strategically aligned energy supply across varying markets and technologies.
- Execute and monitor long-term power purchase agreements and intervene in troubled projects.
- Manage pipeline of new opportunities and report on renewable energy tax equity investments and program success.
- Support execution of strategic partnerships with renewable energy developers to secure programmatic access globally.
- Drive multiple business plans, remove obstacles, measure progress, and promote continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to align goals and ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards.
What you'll bring:
- Experience managing strategic relationships within renewable energy markets and executing long-term power purchase agreements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to analyze, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for complex energy projects.
- Expertise in energy modeling and reporting to support renewable energy goals and investment tracking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to drive business plans, remove obstacles, and measure progress while promoting continuous learning and adaptability.
- Skilled negotiator with a focus on achieving sustainable energy outcomes aligned with company objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
