Position Summary...

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Risk Governance & Operations, to join the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team. This role will support the company’s regulatory risk assessment program by maintaining strong governance, managing high-quality risk data, and building executive-ready reporting that enables a comprehensive view of risk across the enterprise

About the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management Team:
The Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team partners with Global Governance, the business, and other functional support teams to identify, assess, and help mitigate risk across the company. In this role, you will manage the operational backbone of the regulatory risk assessment program, including disciplined governance routines, risk data quality control, and consistent execution of assessment cycles.
This role will be a valued member of the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team and will help execute a comprehensive regulatory risk program. You will work across the enterprise to capture emerging or changing regulatory risks, connect risk drivers and root causes to strategic and operational impacts, and produce a holistic risk profile that supports leadership visibility, prioritization, and risk-based discussions on program maturation and mitigation planning.

What you'll do...

  • Managing the regulatory risk program’s core infrastructure—risk register/inventory administration; risk intake workflows; and scenario documentation—to support consistent program execution

  • Coordinating assessment cycles and applying quality control standards to ensure risk data completeness, consistency, and integrity across markets, segments, and teams

  • Overseeing risk analytics and executive reporting, including dashboards, trends, and insights that surface drivers/root causes and enable clear leadership visibility into regulatory risk exposure

What You’ll Bring…

  • You are a self-starter who can exercise judgment to execute quickly. You have experience operating risk assessments and building the infrastructure behind them, including risk inventory/register administration; intake workflows; and clear definitions for risk taxonomy, naming, and scoring.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a controlled program. You can create repeatable workflows (SOPs, calendars, checklists); apply quality control and validation to risk data; and drive consistency across assessment cycles.

  • You are solution-oriented and experienced in cross-functional execution. You can run disciplined risk intake and scenario governance (triage, prioritization, escalation paths); and you know when to elevate decision points and watch-outs to the right leaders.

  • You have experience communicating with and presenting to senior executives and colleagues across functions. You can translate complex risk data into executive-ready materials (dashboards, trends, narratives) that support enterprise decision-making and consistent governance.

  • You have high expectations for yourself and others and foster that culture through effective leadership, mentorship, and operational excellence.

  • You have prior Internal Audit, Regulatory, Risk Assessment, or governance program operations experience

  • You can translate complex governance requirements into clear SOPs, decision rules, and communications that stakeholders can follow consistently

  • You embrace innovation and have experience leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to improve data quality checks, analytics, and reporting outputs

  • You have experience leading cross-functional workstreams, coordinating review and assessment cycles, and managing large datasets/inventories with competing priorities

  • You have a deep understanding of metrics and data and can build executive-ready dashboards and trend reporting that tell a clear risk story
