Position Summary...
About the Team:We are a high-impact team at the forefront of data innovation in healthcare. We are driving scalable data solutions across Walmart Health and Wellness to harness data-driven insights, improve patient outcomes, and drive innovation across the health journey.
We are seeking a highly technical, execution-driven Principal Data Analyst to lead the delivery of our cutting-edge Privacy Analytics capabilities alongside our foundational Semantic Data Models. This role will focus on building scalable "De-ldentification as a service" while structuring our core analytics infrastructure to empower business intelligence.
As a Principal Data Analyst, you will work at the critical intersection of data privacy, data engineering, analytics, and product strategy. You will drive cross-functional initiatives that ensure highly sensitive patient data is protected, while simultaneously ensuring our semantic layers and traditional BI models are robust, accurate, and accessible.
If you are driven to build privacy-first data solutions, possess deep technical expertise in both data governance and SQL-driven semantic modeling, and thrive in dynamic environments, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do...
- Execute the Privacy Engineering Roadmap: Drive the end-to-end delivery and scaling of our enterprise “Privacy Protected Data Services" platform. You will implement advanced privacy technologies to safely unlock highly sensitive healthcare data for AI/ML and analytics.
- Build and Validate Semantic Models: Drive the execution of our foundational data layers. You will partner with engineering to build performant semantic models and use your advanced SQL capabilities to hands-on query databases, validate pipeline logic, and guarantee data integrity before release.
- Lead Complex Program Operations: Direct multi-quarter technical initiatives from inception to delivery. You will establish engineering delivery frameworks, define precise KPIs, and deliver concise, logically structured communications to align executive leadership and unblock cross-functional teams.
What you'll bring:
- Domain & Regulatory Mastery: 8+ years of leadership in Technical Program Management, Product, or Data Analytics, focused heavily on data privacy and governance. You have a proven track record of operationalizing complex compliance frameworks (HIPAA is required) directly into data engineering pipelines.
- Technical & Architectural Depth: Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience building enterprise semantic data models. You understand modern cloud data architectures deeply enough to validate pipeline logic and comfortably debate system design with Principal Engineers.
- Execution & Executive Influence: A proven ability to scale ambiguous enterprise data initiatives from 0 to 100. You possess a strong ownership mindset and can seamlessly distill highly complex technical and legal constraints into actionable engineering roadmaps and clear executive summaries.
