Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Operations - Sam's Club Health & Wellness will lead execution of complex projects by managing timelines and performance standards for successful outcomes.


As Sam’s Club expands, this role owns healthcare readiness for Pharmacy, Optical, and Hearing—ensuring every new or remodeled club opens compliant, on time, and ready to serve members.


This is a healthcare execution role first, focused on regulated environments, workflows, and patient-facing services—not traditional construction project management. You will lead cross-functional workstreams and implement solutions supporting associates and members.


As the healthcare execution owner, you’ll partner across Construction, Realty, Technology, Operations, and Strategy teams.


This role is based in Bentonville, Arkansas.
About the team:

The Sam’s Club Healthcare Operations team oversees comprehensive operations within the Health and Wellness areas of the clubs. This team manages project and operations execution, fosters cross-functional collaboration across Walmart and Sam’s Club, and develops communication strategies and tools utilized by field teams. By driving efficient processes and innovative solutions, the team supports business goals and enhances operational effectiveness. Members contribute through data analysis, project leadership, and partnership building to ensure successful implementation of initiatives that improve service delivery and operational performance across multiple functions.
What you'll do:

Support evolving healthcare strategies :
Lead pharmacy and optical initiatives including telehealth—ensuring operational execution keeps pace with healthcare innovation.


Own healthcare readiness for new club openings and remodels:
Lead end-to-end execution for Pharmacy, Optical, and Hearing—managing complex, cross-functional workstreams in a regulated environment to ensure all healthcare spaces are grand open ready and risk to patient care and operations is eliminated at launch.


Act as a trusted SME for Health & Wellness execution:
Be the go-to expert for healthcare, helping field teams navigate go-live readiness. Translate clinical and regulatory requirements into actionable build plans partnering with Construction and Realty.
What you'll bring:
  • A track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives—ideally in retail healthcare
  • Experience managing multi-workstream projects involving construction, operations, and compliance
  • Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-volume environments with aggressive timelines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large checklists and interdependent workstreams
  • Confidence to lead through influence, escalate risks early, and drive decisions across teams
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Willingness to travel frequently and be hands-on when needed to ensure healthcare spaces get it right from day one
  • Experience with pharmacy, optical, hearing, clinical services, or healthcare operations is strongly preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
