As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including Product Management and User Experience. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive resolution strategies to enhance system reliability. This role involves managing projects from requirements gathering through coding, testing, and deployment while ensuring adherence to quality and security standards. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting Walmart’s commitment to delivering innovative and efficient technology solutions.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define high‑level designs and translate requirements into technical solutions for small to medium projects.
- Develop, test, and maintain code while ensuring alignment with business and technical standards, including security and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root‑cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
- Create and execute test cases, perform defect management, and conduct regression testing to ensure software quality.
- Support continuous integration and delivery by automating routine tasks and monitoring application performance.
- Mentor and guide small engineering teams, providing technical direction and documentation.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery using object‑oriented programming and iterative development methodologies.
- Strong technical acumen with expertise in API design, platform development, and component services.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues through root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
- Proficiency in coding standards, debugging, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of testing strategies, defect management, and application performance monitoring.
- Capability to mentor and guide small engineering teams while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Tech Stack: Spark, Scala, Java, Kafka, NoSQL DB

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
