Role summary:The (USA) Director, People leads the development and execution of People strategies aligned with business objectives, driving organizational change and talent management to build a high performing team. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies while fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement. By leveraging data analysis and cross-functional collaboration, the Director supports talent management, succession planning, and associate development initiatives to drive long term success. The position champions operational excellence to enhance associate engagement and business performance, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

The People Team at Walmart U.S. partners with leaders to align business strategy with effective people strategies that enhance performance and growth. Aligning to a People-Led, Tech-Powered approach, the team leverages data and innovative tools to improve the associate experience and support business outcomes. This role focuses on Asset Protection and Enterprise Safety, key areas ensuring the well-being of associates, customers, and communities. Known for collaboration, strategic insight, and operational excellence, the team drives continuous improvement and meaningful impact in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement People strategies aligned with business goals to support organizational growth and change initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance to business leaders on People matters, ensuring consistent application of People practices and compliance with regulations.
- Lead data analysis efforts to inform decision-making, identify risks, and recommend actionable solutions for workforce planning and development.
- Lead talent management practices including recruitment, succession planning, and capability development to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Foster a culture of integrity and accountability by promoting ethical standards and ensuring confidentiality in all People processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and support business objectives through effective People leadership.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in developing and executing People strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change management initiatives and assess People implications effectively.
- Strong expertise in talent management, including workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting People and business data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and ability to implement and monitor People policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional partners and influence outcomes.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
