Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Real Estate - PMD leads a portfolio of complex remodel projects, driving end-to-end delivery from early planning and design through permitting and execution.

About the team:

The West Business Unit Project Management & Design (PMD) – Remodels team collaborates with Real Estate, Operations, Construction, and external consultants to deliver complex remodel projects across a broad geographic area. The team manages projects from initial planning through construction, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and operational goals. Design Managers lead portfolios, coordinate cross-functional efforts, proactively address risks, and drive solutions for timely project completion. The team emphasizes strong collaboration, clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement to balance strategic objectives with real-time project demands.

What you'll do...

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned remodel projects, from early planning and permitting through construction execution
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with business, operational, and program goals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross‑functional partners including Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and external design consultants
  • Direct and coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants to support timely design development, permitting, and approvals
  • Proactively identify risks related to permitting, schedule, cost, and constructability, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Drive clear, consistent communication across stakeholders, escalating issues as needed and recommending solutions
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart standards, processes, and applicable codes and regulations.

What you'll bring...
  • Experience leading complex commercial, retail, or large‑scale remodel projects from planning through execution
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple projects
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams and external consultants in a fast‑paced environment
  • Working knowledge of design development, permitting processes, construction documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey issues, solutions, and recommendations
  • Proven ability to identify challenges early, think critically, and drive practical, solutions‑oriented outcomes
  • Comfort balancing program‑level priorities with detailed, day‑to‑day project execution
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 3 years’ experience in
