Position Summary...
The Omni Services Analytics team is seeking a Manager, Advanced Analytics to own end-to-end analytics for a service line within Walmart's Omni Services portfolio, including areas such as protection plans, installation services, registries, and other add-on offerings.In this role, you will serve as the primary analytics partner for product directors and business leaders, translating business questions into data-driven insights that inform product strategy, feature prioritization, and operational decisions. You will design and execute experiments, analyze customer behavior across web, app, and in-store channels, and build measurement frameworks that support omni-channel experiences.
Beyond business-line ownership, you will contribute to cross-service analytics initiatives, helping build shared data foundations and documentation that improve team efficiency and scalability. You will work in an environment that emphasizes reusable solutions, clear documentation, and building analytics capabilities that extend beyond individual projects.
What you'll do...
Own Analytics for a Business Area End-to-End- Serve as the primary analytics partner for a specific Omni Services business line (e.g., protection plans, installation services, registries/lists)
- Partner with product managers and business leaders to translate business goals into measurable hypotheses and design analytics approaches to validate them
- Build and maintain understanding of customer behavior, conversion patterns, and product performance across web, app, and in-store channels
- Deliver insights that inform product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and business strategy
- Contribute to cross-service analytics that identify patterns across business lines
- Scope and execute customer journey analyses that span multiple touchpoints, channels, and service offerings
- Collaborate with analytics partners across service areas to share insights and develop portfolio-level perspectives on customer behavior and service performance
- Document data sources, pipelines, metric definitions, and business logic including data lineage, limitations, and relationships to other data sets
- Build reusable analytical frameworks and repeatable processes
- Create documentation that enables knowledge transfer and reduces dependency on individual expertise
- Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and cost efficiency using BigQuery and other enterprise data tools
- Design and execute A/B tests to quantify the impact of new features and product changes
- Apply statistical power analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimentation best practices
- Address multiple testing, confounding factors, and statistical complications in experimental design and analysis
- Translate experiment results into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Integrate advanced analytics tools and techniques into workflows to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on complex analytical problems
- Evaluate and adopt new analytics methods and share learnings across the team
- Contribute to recurring analytics updates for product and business leadership
- Communicate insights and analytics impact across the portfolio
- Present findings to decision-makers across multiple levels of the organization
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field AND 2 years’ experience in data analytics or related field
- 4 years’ experience in data analytics or related field
- Additionally Required for This Role:
- 5+ years of experience writing production-quality SQL for analytics, including complex queries, joins, window functions, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting
- 3+ years of experience with large-scale data warehouses (BigQuery, Hive, Snowflake, or similar platforms)
- 3+ years of experience with instrumentation frameworks and event-level data collection systems
- Demonstrated experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and controlled experiments, including sample size calculations, statistical significance testing, and handling multiple comparisons
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
- Experience documenting data pipelines, metric definitions, and analytical methodologies in wiki or documentation platforms (Confluence, Notion, or similar)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex analyses to non-technical audiences and influence decision-making
- Strong communications skills
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in analytics roles within retail, e-commerce, or technology companies
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and automation
- Experience building or contributing to data pipeline automation
- Experience with customer journey analytics across omni-channel experiences (web, mobile app, in-store)
- Experience validating instrumentation implementation and data quality for event tracking systems
- Demonstrated ability to build reusable analytical frameworks and scalable measurement solutions
- Experience working in ambiguous environments where analytics foundations are being established

Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
