Role summary:The (USA) Software Engineer III plays a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring high-quality code through rigorous testing and continuous integration practices. The role requires managing projects of varying complexity, providing technical guidance to small engineering groups, and maintaining alignment with business objectives. About the team:
The team supports the Walmart Vision Center by delivering technology solutions that enable customers to order glasses, sunglasses, and manage contact lens needs. They design, code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality applications using Swift for iPadOS to enhance customer experience. Collaborating closely with product and project management, the team ensures timely delivery of feature-rich solutions. Following agile methodology, the team emphasizes innovation, quality, and performance while continuously improving processes and technologies to meet business objectives effectively.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs for small to medium projects.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues, performing root cause analysis and developing effective solutions.
- Translate project requirements into technical solutions, conduct coding, unit testing, and ensure timely delivery.
- Support users by addressing technical questions and guiding implementation strategies.
- Mentor small engineering groups, providing documentation, direction, and timelines.
- Develop automation scripts for CI/CD and implement telemetry features.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and evaluate change requests.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments.
- Strong technical acumen with proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding standards.
- Expertise in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, project management, and user experience.
- Experience managing small to large-sized projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and automation scripting.
- Skilled in analyzing requirements, performing root cause analysis, and developing sustainable technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide engineering teams while maintaining documentation and compliance standards.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
