Position Summary...We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Operations to lead strategic initiatives across new benefit offerings, experience optimization, foundational systems, and fraud & abuse mitigation.
This role is critical to scaling and safeguarding the Walmart+ program while elevating member satisfaction, maximizing recurring revenue, and minimizing potential loss due to fraud & abuse.
What you'll do...About the team... The Risk & Payments team is dedicated to minimizing fraud and abuse within the Walmart+ ecosystem while enhancing payment processes. This team leads cross-functional initiatives to improve business efficiency through data analysis, project management, and operational innovation. By collaborating with various stakeholders, the team develops and implements solutions that support business goals and optimize performance. Members are committed to driving successful project execution, managing risks, and continuously improving processes to deliver value. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

- Identify and assess emerging fraud trends in eCommerce transactions, recurring membership payments, and fintech to inform Walmart+ roadmap.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with business objectives and elevate the member experience.
- Own and grow relationships with key internal & external partners (e.g., Fraud Strategy, Inkiru, Treasury, payment service providers, etc.).
- Evaluate and negotiate with new partners to enhance our fraud prevention capabilities and reduce operational risk.
- Act as a subject matter expert on eCommerce membership programs, risk mitigation processes, and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on API integrations and vendor data pipelines.
- Lead creation and maintenance of technical documentation for internal and partner-facing initiatives.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to track and analyze product performance
- Deliver executive-level reporting, highlighting key metrics, trends, and strategic recommendations
- Translate technical and financial concepts into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Tax to execute strategic programs.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to solve complex fraud & abuse challenges, including chargeback mitigation.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
- Bachelor's degree AND 2 years’ experience in Payments Strategy, Payments Operations, Fraud/Chargebacks Operations OR 6 years+ experience in Operations Management or related area
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives at scale
- Strong communicator with experience presenting to C-level stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in dynamic environments
- Strategic mindset with customer-centric problem solving
- Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with data-driven metrics and KPIs
- Deep understanding of payment methods, authorization flows, routing, and regulatory landscape
- 2+ years working in a Payments Strategy & Operations function for a technology-based company.
