About the team:The Central Construction Operations team leads Walmart’s and Sam's Club national Flooring and Exterior Paint programs, managing extensive store remodels across the country. This team collaborates closely with contractors, specialty installers, and field personnel to ensure projects meet specifications, timelines, and budgets. Utilizing tools like Lucernex and Wrike, the team oversees project tracking, vendor relationships, and program standards from pilot phases to full rollout. Working cross-functionally with Construction Directors, Design, Finance, and Legal, the team addresses field escalations and drives successful project execution that supports Walmart’s operational goals and customer experience.
What you'll do:
- Plan, estimate, organize, and monitor significant construction and project initiatives using established tools and methods.
- Maintain open communication among project participants, stakeholders, and teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
- Identify project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential impacts on timelines and budgets.
- Oversee construction quality assurance, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets by gathering and preparing required financial information, monitoring costs, and supporting change order processes.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to address operational needs and support smooth project transitions.
- Conduct regular project reviews and reporting to track progress and recommend improvements.
- Utilize excel and AI platforms to accelerate processes and enhance communication utilizing data sets in the enterprise for decision making
- Attend site visits to evaluate compliance, at risk circumstances, etc..
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in project and construction management, including planning, estimating, and monitoring project costs and timelines.
- Strong skills in budget management, with the ability to gather, prepare, and analyze budget information effectively.
- Expertise in construction quality assurance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of construction safety and health regulations, with experience implementing safety policies and monitoring compliance.
- Excellent relationship management skills to collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.
- Effective communication and analytic abilities to identify risks, create contingency plans, and drive project success.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
