The Driver Experience team focuses on enhancing the engagement of gig contractors through the Spark Driver App. The team works collaboratively across functions to develop innovative solutions, lead strategic initiatives, and manage projects aligned with business objectives. By leveraging strong operational and analytical skills, the team drives improvements that strengthen the overall value proposition and support Walmart’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
The Senior Manager, On-trip Strategy & Operations will lead the Gig-Driver pickup and drop-off strategy, execution, and continuous improvement. This role owns the end-to-end on-trip experience, driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and driver satisfaction. Partnering across Product, Analytics, Operations, and Support, you will define the roadmap, scale solutions, and reduce defects across pickup and delivery workflows. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless and reliable driver experience that improves platform performance, reduces friction, and supports sustainable growth.

What you'll do...

• Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the pickup and drop-off strategy to improve efficiency, quality, and driver experience.
• Program Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives to address defects, improve workflows, and scale improvements.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team, providing direction, prioritization, and coaching.
• Driver Experience Optimization: Identify friction points across journeys and implement solutions for improvement.
• Data, Insights & Performance Management: Leverage data, feedback, and support insights to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and measure impact.
• Experimentation & Continuous Improvement: Drive testing and iteration to validate solutions and scale changes.
• Cross Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations to deliver scalable solutions.
• Business Case Development & Stakeholder Influence: Build business cases and drive leadership alignment.

What you'll bring...

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or related roles.
• Proven end-to-end project management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives.
• Experience managing and developing high performing teams.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify issues, generate insights, and drive decisions.
• Experience working with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Demonstrated experience building business cases and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
• Experience in process improvement, operational excellence, and fast paced environments.
• Prior experience in the gig driver industry or similar marketplace-based platforms.
• Prior experience in last mile delivery.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
