About the team:
The Senior Manager, Procurement leads efforts focused on GNFR packaging and packaging needs for private brand suppliers at Sam’s Club. This team collaborates closely with Merchants and Sourcing to ensure product availability while optimizing total cost of ownership. Responsibilities include managing bid events and developing procurement strategies that align with business goals. The team emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and financial analysis to drive cost efficiencies and risk mitigation. By leveraging data and cross-functional partnerships, the team supports continuous improvement and effective decision-making to meet operational and customer requirements.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies to identify savings and optimize supplier selection.
- Manage complex sourcing events, including RFx processes, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, conducting performance reviews and driving continuous improvement.
- Analyze financial data and total cost of ownership to inform procurement decisions and business cases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop team members, setting performance expectations and fostering a high-performing environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in procurement management, category strategy, and strategic sourcing within complex supply chains.
- Proven ability to lead negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship management to drive cost efficiencies and risk mitigation.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in total cost of ownership analysis, financial modeling, and data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, influencing cross-functional teams, and executing multiple business plans simultaneously.
- Proficiency in continuous improvement processes and applying advanced analytics to optimize procurement strategies.
- Effective leadership capabilities in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams aligned with business goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
