Position Summary...
Walmart US is transforming how Merchants work—and we’re looking for a leader to ensure that transformation is both adopted and operationalized at scale.This role sits at the intersection of analytics, product, and the business—owning how Wally integrates into merchant workflows and decision-making. You will serve as the voice of the user, while applying analytical rigor to ensure Wally drives measurable behavior change, action conversion, and business impact.
You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and advanced analytics teams to ensure that what we build is not only valuable—but trusted, utilized, and embedded into how decisions get made.

What you'll do...
- Act as the voice of the merchant – Translate real workflows, decision points, and friction into structured inputs for product and analytics teams
- Drive workflow integration – Ensure Wally capabilities are embedded into end-to-end merchandising workflows, not treated as standalone tools
- Define and measuring adoption rigorously – Establish metrics such as action conversion rates, decision influence, repeat usage, and workflow displacement
- Analyze user behavior at scale – Leverage data to identify drop-offs, friction points, and opportunities to improve engagement and trust
- Partner on action design – Work with Advanced Analytics to ensure discovered opportunities translate into intuitive, usable, and actionable experiences
- Optimize human-in-the-loop vs automation – Identify where user intervention adds value vs where automation should be expanded
- Drive experimentation – Design and evaluate A/B tests and pilots to improve engagement, trust, and business impact
- Close the feedback loop – Build scalable mechanisms to capture user feedback and tie it directly to roadmap prioritization\
- 6–10+ years in analytics, product, strategy, or business-facing technical roles
- Strong experience with data analysis (SQL, Python, or similar) and interpreting user behavior data
- Experience driving adoption of data products, analytics tools, or AI/ML systems
- Proven ability to connect usage metrics to business outcomes and ROI
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
- Background in retail, merchandising, or operations preferred
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven systems and workflow automation is a plus
- You think in terms of systems and workflows, not just tools or features
- You can diagnose gaps between available capability, user behavior, and business outcomes
- You bring strong analytical and data fluency—able to interrogate usage patterns, action rates, and impact
- You understand how to translate between business context and technical implementation
- You are comfortable defining metrics, instrumentation, and experiments to measure adoption and effectiveness
- You can challenge assumptions and push teams toward outcome-based thinking
- You balance user advocacy with scalable, enterprise-grade solutions

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
