The Item Enablement team in Walmart US eCommerce is at the forefront of shaping how our items and services show up to the digital shopper, and owns the strategy and execution of how this assortment comes to life. Our mission is to make assortment available where and how the customer wants it, by harnessing the power of automation to drive efficiencies, driving platform solutions with tech and delivering incremental sales for eCommerce.
What you’ll do...
As the Senior Director of the eCommerce Item Enablement team, you’ll lead the Transactability business platforms responsible for digital transactability across channels, which enables the ability for customers to purchase items online, and the ‘Out of Stock’ item experience. This role necessitates a unique blend of business acumen, technological expertise, creativity, and logical thinking, supplemented by an understanding of Walmart's operations across various business disciplines and divisions.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you enjoy balancing real-time execution and short term delivery with longer term roadmap development, have a proven track record of breaking new ground by leading with a ‘what needs to be true’ mentality, and building new approaches, and driving results through a blend of creative thinking, problem solving and rolling up your sleeves. - Telling a story with data – You’ll identify key transactability trends and root cause analysis, define the department’s executive story-telling roadmap, and use key functionalities like item publishing, offer listing, and eligibility to enhance the customer journey on our site, enabling items with enhanced automation to win customers’ hearts and minds.

- Monitoring backend platform health and performance through analytics and key metrics – You’ll oversee the development of transactability metrics and dashboards to monitor platform health, providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders to influence the overall direction of platform decisions for the site.
- Operating with excellence – You’ll land the fundamentals and help scale best-in-class efficient workflows, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence into everything you do and developing associates on the team to increase capabilities and enhance skills, knowledge and performance.

Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field. Advanced degree and 6 years' experience in technology operations or related field OR 8 years' experience related field.
- Strong and effective cross communication skills(Up/Down/Peers) and a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to select, lead, and develop a team of future leaders.
- Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable making data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary.
- Knowledge of Merchandising , Supply Chain, and Operations processes, SEO, SEM, Item Catalog, and Point of Sale systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years related experience in Information Systems, Data & Analytics, Merchandising, Technology Operations or related field.
- Masters Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6+ years demonstrated experience managing a team and managing a P&L / technology budget.
- 6+ years of experience in consumer-focused e-commerce environment.
- Strong customer obsession focused on leveraging rules based decisions to improve the experience for customers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of business requirements for data science, technology product and engineering.
- Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Empathetic, authentic leader willing to put the team’s needs at the center – a well led team, exceeding customer expectations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical executive stakeholders.
- Experience in change management, organizational transformation, and driving cultural change leveraging data-driven decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
