Position Summary...

The (USA) Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics oversees adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards within their area of responsibility. This role involves monitoring laws and policies, researching regulatory trends, and developing strategies to address compliance gaps. The manager collaborates with senior leadership to communicate findings, supports legislative impact assessments, and leads continuous improvement initiatives. The US Food Safety and Compliance team at Walmart is dedicated to ensuring that all products meet regulatory and safety standards, reinforcing consumer trust. As a Manager, you will lead the development and maintenance of programs focused on food labeling and product compliance. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders to monitor regulations, address compliance concerns, and implement continuous improvements. Emphasizing ethical standards and effective policy management, this team supports Walmart’s commitment to integrity and operational excellence while fostering a culture of accountability and proactive risk management.

What you'll do...

  • Execute the Food Packaging & Labeling Regulatory Compliance programs for Walmart and Sam’s Club.
  • Manage compliance and ethics inquiries, ensuring consistent application of policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze laws, regulations, and policies to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective strategies.
  • Develop, update, and communicate policies and standard operating procedures in collaboration with leadership.
  • Prepare reports on compliance findings and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring...
  • Proven expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance within complex business environments.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders to communicate compliance strategies and address concerns.
  • Ability to analyze legislation, assess regulatory impacts, and develop adaptive business plans.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities supporting continuous improvement and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Food labeling experience is a plus.
  • Effective leadership skills, including mentoring and developing team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong data analytics and visualization skills (Power BI, Excel, Tableau).
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, food safety, or related field, and 2 years’ experience in compliance, food manufacturing, or related areas. Bonus is retail experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
