Position Summary...

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of landscape irrigation systems across the Walmart Home Office Campus. This role supports daily irrigation operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and systems function optimally to maintain healthy landscapes throughout the campus

What you'll do...

• Conduct calibration tests on sprinklers, operating pressures, and pumps within a closed-loop system to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
• Adjust sprinkler heads, program irrigation controllers, and perform routine system inspections to optimize water usage and minimize waste
• Perform daily repair and maintenance of irrigation systems and related equipment
• Respond promptly to alerts and work orders through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution
• Operate, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture levels for all plantings
• Collaborate with supervisors to maintain high-quality irrigation throughout the growing season
• Partner with landscape supervisors to ensure irrigation systems meet the specific needs of each property
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, including equipment failures and water leaks
• Support the continuous improvement of irrigation practices and promote efficient water use and equipment operation
• Assist with seasonal duties during the off-season, including mulching and snow/ice removal

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

• You have 1–3 years of experience in commercial irrigation installation and maintenance
• Possess strong knowledge of regional landscape plants and their proper watering requirements
• Have hands-on experience with WeatherTrak irrigation control systems
• Are experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting 2-wire irrigation systems

• 1-3 years of irrigation installation or maintenance experience

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
