Position: Staff Technical Program Manager
Job Location: 1 Customer Dr., Mail Stop #0215, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Coordinate and produce documents that communicate project strategy, status, scope, timelines, task planning, action items, risks, issues, dependencies, test planning, or rollout planning and manages complex changes. Monitor and evaluate the progress of multiple projects in a program against approved milestones, quality metrics, and timelines. Identify key risks and impacts under guidance from program teams/management to develop mitigation plans (solutions/options) and likelihood for managing issues. Conducts data analysis and research; problem-solving techniques and frameworks; data-driven and fact-based decision-making techniques/methodologies; impact analysis and course correction techniques/methodologies; precedence and use cases for business problems; barriers to effective problem solving (for example, confirmation bias, mental set, functional fixedness, groupthink, paradigm blindness). Map deliverables, features, and milestones to program success metrics. Synthesize and converge data from multiple vantage points into meaningful insights. Suggest multiple alternatives approaches/solutions based on internal benchmarking. Conduct activities for program analytics with an understanding of simple trends/insights. Communicate progress and risks and engages with core teams to resolve issues while updating broader teams and stakeholders on progress. Prepares clear, concise, logically structured, and meaningful reports/materials using relevant data. Seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipates needs/questions, and responds with actionable feedback. Communicate complex information to large audience verbally in small/large meetings, as well as through written emails and artifacts. Escalate issues to relevant stakeholders. Create and manage processes and guidelines for teams to track and monitor program budget inputs (for example, labor, infrastructure, capital). Identify budget gaps that impact the scale and acceleration of programs. Execute medium-scale programs with difficult technology/cross-functional dependencies. Identifies opportunities to accelerate goals as needed. Negotiates against timelines, resources, and priorities to secure commitments. Anticipate issues and proposes solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional issues, and identify the need to develop or improve tools/processes. Implement and improve the prioritization of program deliverables and milestones. Ensure that all dependent teams and stakeholders have accurate and thorough understanding of different stakeholder perspectives and overall project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in program management or a related field; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience in program management or a related field.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Scrum principles and practices; Agile project management tools (Jira and Confluence); Agile Scrum compliance, including burndown charts, WIP Analysis, and Velocity metrics; JQL framework to create custom queries and reports; Creating Jira Dashboards and Gadgets; Administering Agile projects, including proper implementation and support of Agile Scrum and Agile Kanban; Identifying nonconformances and targeting bottlenecks for Agile software development including target spillover, velocity nonconformances; KPIs and metrics for Sprints and Scrum Teams (Squads) utilizing an analytical dashboard created through visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or DASH; Custom Code development, collaborating to assist the Scrum Team in eliminating roadblock during the Sprint cycles; Analyzing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) data to ensure the achievement of set objectives; ensuring all boards and cards adhere to established capitalization guidelines; Retail business unit/domain; Financial management tools and processes like ERP – SAP; Software engineering Front-End and Back-End stacks. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Rate of pay: $110,000 - $220,000/year
