Position Summary...

The Senior Data Modeler, Data Governance plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and operational efficiency of our data assets. This role is uniquely focused on empowering our Data Stewards, driving the efficiency and overall impact of our organization.

Our team is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of our data, which is vital for driving informed business decisions. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting how we operate, optimizing the tools we leverage, and executing our data strategy through automation and agile methodologies.

What you'll do...

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Support our daily operations by managing our quarterly and sprint-level planning processes, ensuring our teams and the tools we leverage are fully aligned to execute our work efficiently.
  • Technology Evaluation & Configuration: Evaluate, configure, and optimize the technology our Data Stewards use to complete their work. This includes building and implementing automation for our data catalogs, data modeling, data lineage, and data quality processes.
  • Manage Certification Frameworks: Help manage our data certification framework, providing critical support for data rationalization efforts to ensure our data ecosystem remains streamlined and valuable.
  • Finance Domain Governance: Provide dedicated data governance support and oversight tailored to the needs of smaller Finance Domains.
  • Collaborate and Problem-Solve: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex data issues, address data-related challenges, and ensure the ongoing integrity and reliability of our data assets.

What you’ll bring:

  • Technical & Automation Expertise: Proven experience working within a technical data environment with a strong, demonstrated ability to build automated solutions.
  • Applied Generative AI Skills: Demonstrated ability to use automation tools and GenAI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to connect processes, automate repetitive steps, and enable our stewards to be more efficient and increase their impact.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and develop strategic solutions to address data quality issues and operational bottlenecks effectively.
  • Financial Knowledge and Ways of Working: Understand foundational financial principles and practices, enabling you to successfully navigate and manage data related to our Finance operations.
  • Basic Understanding of Data Management: Possess foundational knowledge of how data should be managed, stored, and utilized to contribute effectively to our overarching governance efforts.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, facilitating smooth collaboration and ensuring that data governance objectives are met.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years' experience in data modeling, data analytics, data warehouse, software engineering or related field. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in data modeling, data analytics, data warehouse, software engineering or related field. Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year's experience in data modeling, data analytics, data warehouse, software engineering or related field.
