As a Senior Director, you’ll lead a retail-led financial services strategy that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses across Walmart’s physical and digital ecosystem. You’ll drive cross-functional innovation to deliver financial solutions that strengthen these businesses and accelerate growth across the broader Walmart platform.About the Team
Walmart’s Financial Services organization is transforming how customers and businesses access simple, affordable financial solutions across our omnichannel network. Our team combines customer insights, financial services expertise, and deep retail integration to build offerings that meet unmet needs and unlock value for customers and the business. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and external financial institutions to bring differentiated solutions to market at scale.
What you'll do...
- Lead Walmart’s Financial Service offerings for Businesses, defining and executing a roadmap of solutions that support small businesses while advancing Walmart’s retail-led financial services vision.
- Build and develop a high-performing team, leading existing associates and recruiting new talent to scale capabilities and deliver against ambitious growth objectives.
- Create innovative products, identifying unmet financial needs, and translating them into simple, affordable solutions that strengthen the connection between financial services and Walmart’s retail ecosystem.
- Own business performance and P&L outcomes, setting growth targets, monitoring key financial and operational metrics, and ensuring programs deliver measurable impact for Walmart and its customers.
- Lead strategic partnerships across the financial services ecosystem, working with financial institutions and technology providers to bring differentiated capabilities to market while optimizing economics and operational performance.
- Advance Walmart’s broader financial services strategy, ensuring small business solutions complement priority growth products and deliver meaningful retail outcomes across Walmart’s omnichannel platforms. Additional opportunities exist to support other customer segments.
- Experience building or managing financial services offerings, ideally for small businesses.
- Proven ability to translate customer and market insights into scalable financial solutions.
- Strong P&L ownership experience, with the ability to set targets, measure performance, and guide programs to deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and developing talent.
- Experience managing external financial services partnerships, including banks, fintechs, or payment providers.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience partnering across product, technology, marketing, operations, legal, and finance.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, complex environments—creating clarity, driving alignment, and delivering measurable results.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
