Position Summary...
Our Information Security team works to protect, defend, and reduce risks across applications, platforms, infrastructure, and services to keep our assets and resources secure. We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with information security expertise to help design and build secure, resilient services and AI-driven workflows for ServiceNow application and modules, supporting enterprise security automation and compliance validations. What you'll do...
- Architect, design and maintain ServiceNow modules and custom applications in ServiceNow platform related to Security domain.
- Integrate dataflows between ServiceNow, external systems, and reporting modules both inside and outside ServiceNow.
- Architect and design forms, workflows, data model and custom interfaces.
- Build resilient integrations across security tooling ecosystems (scanners, CI/CD, internal APIs).
- Doing quick proof of concepts for the Security business and security analysts.
- Participating in an agile project setting to develop new features and improve existing forms and custom applications.
- Embedding AI features, triggering AI workflows and Agentic integrations.
- Write SQL queries or equivalent to ingest, update and retrieve data from the backend or other data sources.
- Collaborate with Product Security, Compliance, and Platform teams to automate thousands of security tasks.
- Reduce security review cycle times by incorporating features and enhancements for application, platform security posture reviews.
- As a Staff software engineer, experience in building scalable, resilient, secure enterprise application using ServiceNow modules and Custom applications.
- Knowledge of triaging and fixing bugs in ServiceNow modules and custom applications.
- Expert skills in designing forms, workflows, data model and custom interfaces
- Expert skills in Business Rules, Client Scripts, sophisticated UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, and UI Scripts as part of use cases that we need to implement.
- Expert skills in programming language such as Java or Python and in interfacing with a backend database using SQL queries.
- Flexibility in adopting to new areas of work, domain, and technical competencies including creating scalable APIs and microservices but not limited to them.
- Expert database skills in data modeling, indexing, query optimization, data integrity enforcement, performance engineering, schema design and data archival.
- Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or GCP preferred) is a plus.
- Knowledge of triaging and fixing bugs in a microservice, n tier architecture and in big data platforms is an added plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages or technologies.
- Awareness about information security domains, specifically application security with static security scanning, Software composition analysis, vulnerabilities, threats, and exploits.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience in architecting and designing applications in ServiceNow platform as well as in maintaining them
- Strong expertise in at least two SNOW modules (e.g. ITSM, ITAM, ITOPS, CSM, SecOps etc.
- Strong experience to set up ServiceNow modules using Business Rules, Client Scripts, sophisticated UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, and UI Scripts as part of use cases that we need to implement.
- Strong and proven experience to design custom applications in ServiceNow to address business specific needs.
- Well versed experience in data model of custom applications, forms, workflows and custom interfaces.
- Experience working with web technologies, including JavaScript/GLIDE, Ajax, HTML5, and CSS
- Strong and proven experience in designing scalable APIs for integrating data from external or dependent system using Java or Python.
- You are an AI builder and have begun creating applications and services using Agentic IDEs like Cursor or Windsurf.
- You have experience in designing Agents and building MCP servers that support enterprise workflows, enable agentic communications and to integrate with other enterprise services.
- You are accustomed to working collaboratively in a matrixed organizational structure.
- You possess strong knowledge of the security domain, including vulnerabilities, security controls, and application security.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
