About the team This role leads Walmart.com’s site-wide content strategy and owns the Homepage and navigation as the site’s primary real estate. The team operates at the intersection of merchandising, creative, product, analytics and engineering to ensure high-impact messages are prioritized, executed with operational rigor, and aligned with personalization and product systems to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer voice across the site. What You’ll Do…- Own site-wide content strategy & editorial mission. Define the site content vision, editorial principles and KPIs; decide what messages belong on which surfaces (Homepage, nav, campaign and category pages) and ensure a consistent, high-quality customer voice across the site.
- Full end-to-end ownership of Homepage & Navigation. Serve as the business owner for the Homepage and navigation: set full-page strategy, event planning and execution, leadership reviews, and QA to protect customer experience.
- Create the prioritization & governance engine. Design and operate a transparent prioritization framework and message lifecycle (intake → editorial plan → asset readiness → launch) so scarce site real-estate is allocated to the highest customer and business value.
- Partner with personalization team for implementation of algorithmic prioritization logic. Ensure message metadata and prioritization signals feed personalization systems (and that algorithmic outputs honor guardrails); define manual-override rules and tuning processes.
- Drive measurement, experimentation & rollouts. Own full-page and cross-site measurement, develop a test & learn culture in close partnership with analytics, scale learnings quickly across all high-impact surfaces.
- Run the operating cadence & cross-functional alignment. Lead the intake, build/flip QA, leadership review and RCA rhythms; coordinate merchants, creative, product, analytics and engineering to remove blockers and align priorities.
- Build and scale a content center of excellence. Recruit and develop leaders and specialists, define roles and career paths, and accelerate impact through standardized workflows, automation, and agentic solutions.
- Extensive experience developing and executing enterprise-scale site merchandising and content strategies that drive traffic, sales conversion and transaction growth, grounded in customer insight and competitive intelligence.
- Deep expertise in eCommerce site experience (Homepage, navigation, item page, shelf and taxonomy) with a demonstrated ability to optimize full-funnel performance across high-traffic digital platforms.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including building business plans, forecasting performance, establishing KPIs, analyzing variance, and leading root cause analysis to unlock revenue impact.
- Proven cross-functional leadership across Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Product, Analytics and Engineering, aligning digital experience strategy with broader omnichannel and eCommerce objectives.
- Fluency in data, experimentation and personalization systems, integrating algorithmic decisioning and analytics into merchandising and content strategies while maintaining clear governance and guardrails.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams, recruiting and developing senior talent, and modeling integrity, accountability and a customer-first mindset to deliver sustainable results.
