About the Indirect Tax Operations Team
Our team partners closely with business, technology, and product groups to ensure seamless tax compliance and operational excellence. We play a critical role in supporting new revenue streams, global expansion, and the deployment of next-generation tax systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining business continuity, driving innovation, and ensuring Walmart’s leadership in global tax operations. What you’ll do:

• Oversee transaction tax treatment for new business ventures and global initiatives
• Direct collaboration with data, technology, and product teams on tax systems
• Lead resource planning and deployment of tax engines and systems
• Ensure compliance with evolving tax statutes and internal controls
• Foster continuous improvement and report on key operational KPIs

What you’ll bring:

• Expertise in Transaction Tax Management, Indirect Tax Strategy, and SOX Compliance
• Experience with tax systems, software, and data requirements
• Strong leadership in cross-functional and global environments
• Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $370,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field and 7 years’ experience in accounting, tax audits, tax planning, or related area OR 9 years’ experience in accounting, tax audits, tax planning, or related area.
5 years’ supervisory experience.
