What you'll do...
The Manager, Fleet Services Automation Engineering will lead a growing team responsible for enhancing fleet operations through automation, data insights, telematics, and optimized maintenance processes. This role combines fleet services expertise, maintenance operations oversight, and strong analytical and automation capabilities to improve performance across tractor, trailer, and refrigeration assets. The ideal candidate brings both technical engineering acumen and hands-on fleet maintenance knowledge to drive efficiency, accuracy, and operational excellence. Location: This position will be fully onsite in Bentonville, AR You will make an impact by…- Overseeing automation-focused programs across fleet services, including dashboards, KPI reporting, and workflow automation tools.
- Leading data mining efforts, aggregating information from multiple systems to identify trends, diagnose issues, and tell a clear operational story.
- Recommending solutions and implement process improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Updating and maintaining CAD drawings as needed to support automation and operational layouts.
- Supporting automation system design by assessing tasks for automation potential, analyzing space and cost requirements, and evaluating alternative solutions.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to automation machinery and integration within fleet operations.
- Overseeing fleet telematics tracking, specifically refrigeration (reefer) monitoring and performance data.
- Managing tractor preventive maintenance (PM) routines, including annual inspections and oil-change schedules.
- Overseeing dry trailer maintenance, ensuring annual inspections are completed and out‑of‑service criteria are resolved promptly.
- Managing maintenance processes for refrigerated trailers, including annual reefer inspections and wet service to reefer systems.
- Providing oversight of TRS and other third‑party maintenance vendors for tractors and trailers.
- Partnering closely with internal Fleet Services teams, Transportation leadership, Warehouse GMs, and Reefer Reload support teams.
- You have 2–4 years of fleet maintenance or fleet services experience.
- You have experience with automation systems, controls, mechanical/electrical engineering concepts, or mechatronics.
- You have an understanding of mechatronics, electrical engineering concepts, mechanical systems, and control systems relevant to supply chain automation.
- You have demonstrated working knowledge of wiring schematics, mechanical components, and engineering tools used in distribution and fulfillment environments.
- You can identify mechanical and electrical design considerations for improving fleet and automation performance.
- You have strong analytical skills and experience managing multiple projects.
- You have the ability to influence collaboration and drive alignment across operations, engineering, and vendor partners.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
