Position Summary...

The RBX Communication + Training Manager is responsible for delivering and optimizing training and communication programs that empower associates to execute brand-right retail experiences across all Walmart store categories—including Baby, Home, Consumables, Fashion, Beauty, Food, and Electronics. This leader will drive consistency, clarity, and engagement by translating End-to-End Merchant, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing strategies to Associates and Store Leaders to improve in-store execution and customer experience.

What you'll do...

Training Program Development + Deployment:
  • Design and deliver immersive, hands-on Associate + Store Leader training to build knowledge and confidence to execute brand and presentation standards across all departments.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Merchants and other cross-functional teams to align training content with evolving business needs and customer experience goals.
  • Leverage technology and AI-driven solutions to enhance training and communication effectiveness.
Drive Presentation Excellence:
  • Develop and maintain clear, scalable tools, guides, and best practices to ensure consistent, brand-aligned presentation standards fleet-wide.
Store Communication:
  • Manage communication systems that guide store teams, ensuring information is timely, actionable, and easy to understand (Ex. Quarterly Execution Guides).
  • Collaborate with Store Operations and Operations Support to drive adoption and execution of brand experience programs (brand launches, new marketing initiatives, etc).
Engagement & Community Building:
  • Foster Walmart community engagement through associate-facing programs and events that reinforce brand values and elevate the in-store experience (Ex. New Store Openings and Remodel Support)
Performance Measurement:
  • Identify and track key experience KPIs, using customer insights and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Report on training effectiveness and associate engagement, recommending enhancements as needed.
Core Competencies & Skills
  • Strong public speaking, written communication, organizational, and time management skills; self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in AI platforms and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and other digital learning platforms. .
  • Experience building partnerships and influencing cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations).
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in training, communications, visual merchandising, or store management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training or communication programs at scale.
  • Strong portfolio of work in training, communication, or retail marketing/visual merchandising.
  • Ability to travel domestically 1 week/month (as needed).
  • Knowledge of planogram/modular creation and retail presentation standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Fine Arts, or related field and 6 years experience in merchandising, marketing, or related field, including 1 year in visual merchandising management OR 8 years experience in merchandising, marketing ,or related field, including 1 year in visual merchandising management.
