Position Summary...
The Group Director, Asset Protection – Fulfillment Centers is responsible for leading the operations and strategy of the Asset Protection department across Walmart’s Fulfillment Centers. This role ensures the safety, security, and profitability of fulfillment operations by overseeing risk management, crisis response, financial performance, and team leadership. The position fosters a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays
What you'll do...
- Own profit and loss for the asset protection function within Fulfillment Centers, focusing on loss prevention, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial data related to inventory shrink, loss, and safety incidents, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize resource allocation and cost effectiveness in fulfillment operations.
- Evaluate and enhance risk assessment models, tools, and processes tailored to the unique challenges of Fulfillment Centers.
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive risk management and crisis response strategies specific to distribution and logistics environments.
- Oversee cross-functional risk management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead violence and crisis response teams, ensuring readiness and effective emergency management in fulfillment settings.
- Design and execute asset protection operations strategy using innovative risk assessment methodologies for Fulfillment Centers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in distribution operations.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global Security.
- Provide leadership and direction to Regional and Market Asset Protection teams, fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development for team members.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
- Promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and compliance, supporting Walmart’s values and Open Door Policy.
- Sponsor and lead community outreach and involvement initiatives.
- Extensive experience in asset protection, risk management, or a related field, with a strong focus on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Proven leadership skills managing large, diverse teams in a distribution, fulfillment, or logistics environment
- Strong financial acumen, including profit and loss management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk management and crisis response strategies in high-volume operations
- Six Sigma certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Effective communicator and mentor, skilled at building cross-functional partnerships
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $320,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, production/operations management, or related area and 8 years’ experience in asset protection, global security, auditing, program management, or related area. Option 2: 10 years’ experience in asset protection, global security, auditing, program management, or related area.5 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
5 years’ supervisory experience.
