The Strategy and Science for Last Mile Delivery team at Walmart focuses on leveraging advanced data science and machine learning techniques to optimize delivery operations. The team applies rigorous model assessment, validation, and deployment practices to ensure accuracy and scalability. Collaborating across business domains, they translate complex data into actionable insights using effective visualization and communication methods. This group drives innovation by integrating artificial intelligence and statistical methods to solve operational challenges, supporting Walmart’s commitment to efficient, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in customer delivery experiences.
What you'll do:
- Lead development, assessment, and validation of advanced analytical models using statistical and machine learning techniques to ensure accuracy and robustness.
- Design and implement data visualization solutions to effectively communicate complex insights to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data science projects aligned with strategic goals.
- Guide and mentor team members on modeling, feature engineering, and data analysis best practices.
- Oversee deployment and monitoring of models in production environments, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Manage data sourcing, quality assessment, and integration to support analytical initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by applying emerging AI and machine learning advancements.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods to develop and validate complex models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL for data analysis, model development, and deployment.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
