About the team:
The transaction tax team ensures accurate calculation, reporting, and remittance of transactional taxes across multiple jurisdictions. It also manages related audit defense functions. Handling complex tax matters, the team supports financial operations by maintaining compliance, resolving tax issues, and driving process improvements. Team members collaborate closely with stakeholders, fostering continuous learning through training and mentoring. The team upholds high standards of accuracy, integrity, and accountability while managing audits and implementing system enhancements. What you'll do:
- Manage compliance activities, ensuring accurate preparation and timely filing of sales/use, product, and gross receipts tax returns.
- Manage audits by coordinating with internal and external auditors, reviewing tax work papers, and addressing compliance issues.
- Perform or review journal entries and related account reconciliations.
- Identify and implement process and system improvements to optimize tax reporting and compliance.
- Analyze tax data to support financial reporting and tax-saving strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and jurisdictional contacts to streamline tax processes.
- Provide guidance on tax notices, settlements, and risk mitigation strategies.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in managing high-volume sales/use tax compliance processes.
- Expertise in managing complex indirect tax audits, resolving tax notices, and ensuring accurate financial statement reporting.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver training and mentoring programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Strong skills in tax research, forecasting, and applying complex tax concepts to business operations.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements and implement system enhancements.
- Proficiency in using professional tax software and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising and developing associates while fostering accountability and continuous learning.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
