Senior, Software EngineerDo you have boundless energy and passion for engineering data used to solve dynamic problems that will shape the future of retail supply chain? With the sheer scale of Walmart's environment comes the biggest of big data sets.
As a member of of the Replenishment team, you will be responsible for building and supporting high impact, mission critical systems for the worlds largest retailer. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing and testing code change required for special business requirements. You'll work with many cross functional teams to handle monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. You'll be able to say that you work for the worlds largest retailer and contribute to the development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
What you'll do:
Solve dynamic retail supply chain problems with passion and engineering expertise.
Handle large data sets and design/test code changes for special business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement.
Think beyond the status quo and provide insights for better retail supply chain management.
Lead small project teams and provide guidance as a trusted advisor.
Empower team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation and best-in-class methodologies.
What you'll bring:
Experience with big data tools: Spark, Kafka, etc.
Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data driven, and message-oriented architecture.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Big Query, Cassandra.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, etc.
Experience with GCP cloud services: GCS, Dataproc, etc.
Experience with stream-processing systems: Spark-Streaming, Storm etc.
Experience with code repositories and version control practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices. Automated deployment experience is a plus.
Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.
Experience in agile development methodology.
Experience in software development for building distributed systems with Spark, Big Data technologies, Airflow, Kafka or other messaging services, cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), SQL/ NO-SQL data bases and caching solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
