Position Summary...
Supplier Excellence is a data-driven, results-oriented organization focused on supporting Merchandising, partnering with senior leaders, and the broader Walmart organization to develop strategies, ways of working, and solutions that enable Walmart to be the Supplier’s favorite retailer. We strive for best-in-class supplier collaboration by delivering shared value with a customer-centered approach.The Senior Director will lead efforts to evolve how Walmart engages, supports, and partners with suppliers—designing and implementing unifying frameworks that bring clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment across all supplier interactions. This role is accountable for shaping the systems, communication practices, and operating models that elevate supplier relationships into a competitive advantage. By championing a people-led, technology-enabled approach, this leader will help create the conditions for effective strategic collaboration and trust-based engagement at scale.
This role includes leading a high-performing team focused on strategic planning design, internal and external communications, cross-functional coordination, and key supplier-facing initiatives. The Senior Director will partner deeply across Walmart Connect, EBS, Data Ventures, Marketplace, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure a coordinated, enterprise-wide approach to supplier relationships that aligns to our most important priorities.
What you'll do...
What You’ll Do:
Design and implement scalable, data-backed frameworks for strategic supplier collaboration—aligning engagement models, planning cycles, and KPIs – partnering with Merchandising Transformation as relevant for tool development
Shape and drive unified communication practices and decision-making governance across all supplier-facing channels to reduce duplication, mitigate risk, and ensure clarity of voice and message
Partner with Learning & Development to build and deliver training experiences that equip associates with the tools and skills needed to lead best-in-class supplier relationships
Ensure coordination across supplier-facing initiatives and external events to reflect cohesive enterprise priorities, bringing together key business partners to deliver aligned messages and experiences across forums, summits, and programs
Activate listening systems, feedback mechanisms, and industry benchmarks to continuously refine supplier relationship strategies and unlock new opportunities for collaboration
Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
What You'll Bring:
Proven success designing and implementing large-scale engagement frameworks that drive clarity, consistency, and measurable impact across external partnerships or customer-facing programs
Ability to translate vision into action by establishing repeatable processes, driving alignment across functions, and embedding cultural change through thoughtful design and execution
Strong influencing and communication skills, with a track record of unifying diverse stakeholder groups around shared priorities and measurable outcomes
Experience integrating performance data, feedback mechanisms, and qualitative insights to drive continuous improvement and build high-trust relationships
Collaborative mindset with a passion for enabling people-led solutions supported by effective tools and processes
Strategic agility and operational discipline, with comfort navigating ambiguity and leading through complexity

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
