Position Overview
Sam's Club, one of the largest wholesale retailers in the country, is looking for a Creative Director to lead our business through exciting transformation. This is a unique opportunity for a creative leader to truly shape the future of our business and how our members engage with us. You’ll manage a team of external agency designers, writers, and content strategists to implement scaled and automated creative solutions. If you're a proven Creative Lead with a portfolio of notable innovative projects that demonstrate a mastery of design and Creative technology and can be an effective manager who can understand the goals, inspire the team, and get the results, we want you to join our team.
What you'll do...
- Develop and execute strategies to automate creative production workflows, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and consistency across marketing processes.
- Formulate and implement a long-term strategy to bring select automation technologies in-house, balancing cost-effectiveness with innovation.
- Spearhead the development and execution of a technology-enabled creative tool roadmap, identifying and implementing future automation opportunities.
- Work closely with agency partners to implement advanced automation solutions, including Generative AI and dynamic optimization.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and agencies to ensure that automation strategies align with both creative and business objectives.
- Oversee the adoption and ongoing support of new platform technologies for the creative team, ensuring effective utilization, integration, and alignment with overall business strategies.
- Continuously refine workflows to increase automation, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort across creative production processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, creative writing, advertising, fine arts, or a related field.
- 7+ years' experience leading creative teams, or 9+ years' experience in a creative leadership role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Experience with AI-driven design tools and automation platforms.
- Familiarity with web development and animation software.
- 4-6 years of project management experience, particularly in digital innovation projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing outstanding creative work across various brands.
- Demonstrated knowledge of visual storytelling and application of technology in creative processes.
- 3-5 years of experience managing interactive and digital creative teams, including external creative partners.
- Proven capability to drive team performance and manage vendor relationships.
- A user-first mindset in creating digital experiences that effectively reach and engage audiences.
- Ability to achieve strong performance outcomes from teams and vendor partners.
Location
This position is based in Bentonville, AR and is eligible for relocation assistance.
In-Office Statement

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
