About the Team…Join Walmart’s Financial Services and Technology Compliance (“FSTC”) Consumer Protection and Anti-Fraud team as a Senior Manager responsible for the oversight of key Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) compliance related activities outlined within Walmart’s Consumer Financial Protection (“CFP”) program. As a key team member, you will provide guidance and support to maintain high CFP standards and UDAAP compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulation for Walmart’s suite of financial products and services. This is a unique opportunity to support CFP and UDAAP compliance for the world’s largest retailer as it continues to expand its financial services offerings around the globe. What you'll do...
- Serve as a subject matter expert (“SME”) and perform key CFP and UDAAP compliance program activities that support compliance with applicable regulations involving the development and marketing of financial products and services offered through Walmart (i.e., money transfers, lending, prepaid access, credit cards, etc.)
- Support first line controls and perform applicable second line of defense process and procedures to effectively manage and mitigate UDAAP compliance related risks
- Engage with the appropriate business and stakeholder teams to integrate UDAAP considerations into product development and marketing strategies
- Review general content included in consumer marketing and promotional materials, content and placement of disclosures and notices, and scripts or guides for associate communication with customers for UDAAP compliance, to identify and mitigate any potential risk
- Oversee and manage the inventory of consumer facing awareness and product information materials required to support compliance with applicable CFP policies and procedures and UDAAP regulations
- Engage in program assessments and periodic reviews, partnering with stakeholders and assisting with the development of program enhancements that mitigate any potential CFP related risks
- Partner with other areas of the FSTC organization and the business to assess potential UDAAP risks associated with new products, marketing campaigns, and business practices and ensure obligations for initiatives are in place
- Perform program monitoring, analysis and reporting to effectively communicate program status and compliance expectations for compliance with new and amended laws and regulations to leadership and key stakeholders
What you’ll bring…
- Experience with Consumer Financial Protection that includes an understanding of UDAAP regulation, developing and overseeing a comprehensive program, creating and enforcing policies, providing training, monitoring business practices, and collaborating with legal and regulatory compliance teams to address compliance concerns
- Extensive experience working with a broad array of financial products and services including prepaid access and lending products
- Self-motivated, customer-centric, and strategic-minded professional accustomed to working with cross-functional stakeholders in fast-paced environments
- Familiar with the essential elements of a CFP compliance program and are obsessed with continuous program improvement
- Substantial experience supporting the operationalization of varying process, procedure and controls
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with and influence stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
