Position Summary...
The Real Estate team is strategically important to Sam’s Club because we bring projects to life! We expand and optimize our portfolio of clubs which is over 80 million square feet of retail space throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.The Senior Manager, Architecture - Sam's Club will report to the Director of Architecture and be responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of Sam's Club Real Estate initiatives. They will lead projects alongside a team of architects, engineers, and contractors to create innovative spaces that meet the needs of our members and align with our brand values.
What you'll do...
- Manage the architectural innovation and standardization processes for Sam's Club Real Estate initiatives: Get to Bright, Bold & Blue, Zero Emissions, and Club Reimagined.
- Manage the design development of various omni channel programs: Club Pickup, Delivery From Club, and Ship From Club.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all designs meet business goals and member experience needs.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure successful completion of change initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations to include accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Manage the external proto architectural and engineering consultant base to ensure quality and fees are within compliance.
- Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives to ensure business needs are being met.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 8+ years experience in architectural design, construction, and project management. Ideally experience in retail and proto design
- 3+ years experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and proficiency in Autodesk products: Recap, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC, and Tandem
- Experience managing projects with a team of architects, engineers, and contractors
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
