Job Description:
As a Data Scientist III on the Data & Customer Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and optimizing advanced data science and AI solutions that drive business impact across multiple merchant, catalog, and assortment touchpoints. You will contribute to enhancing the merchant, catalog, and assortment experience by leveraging data to solve complex business problems and improve operational efficiencies.
This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Director of Data Science, and it requires working onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas. A full relocation package is available; remote work is not an option.

- You relish working with large volumes of data, enjoy the challenge of highly complex technical contexts, and, above all else, are passionate about data and analytics.
- You are an expert in data modeling, ETL design, and business intelligence tools, identifying strategic opportunities for improvements in data infrastructure that create outsized business impact.
- You excel at architecting scalable and resilient data solutions for real-time and batch processing.
- You are familiar with Generative AI and the use and deployment of LLMs.
What you’ll bring…
- Experience in building highly scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems.
- Proficiency with Hadoop, Spark, Cloud, Python/PySpark, Java, Streaming, Kafka, and backend technologies.
- Experience utilizing public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to deploy scalable ML solutions efficiently.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, Scala) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn), underpinned by a solid grasp of MLOps practices, including design documentation, testing, and source code management with Git.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to enhance customer experience.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and objectives.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data science.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in data science or a similar role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
