What you'll do...
At Walmart, we take pride in being the most trusted retailer. A critical path to building that trust is ensuring that we are taking the proper steps to identify, mitigate, and monitor compliance risks in the supply chain. We must know our supply chain better than anyone in support of changing and differentiated business models and an evolving regulatory landscape.
As leader of the Sourcing & Trade Compliance Traceability team, you will be responsible for developing capabilities to increase visibility to supply chain entities, including upstream origins, suppliers, and factories, and developing processes to help prevent and mitigate risks among a variety of supply chain compliance areas, for example Responsible Sourcing, Trade Compliance, and Global Sanctions.
You’ll make an impact by…
Maturing capabilities to map Walmart’s global supply chain from raw materials to finished goods to assess potential Responsible Sourcing, Trade Compliance, and Global Sanctions risks.
Evaluating, testing, and implementing new and emerging technologies with the potential to enhance supply chain risk identification at a product or raw material’s origin.
Developing scalable diligence mechanisms that allow us to further understand supply chain risks where appropriate.
Convening and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to progress coordination around shared interests in upstream supply chain traceability.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…
You proactively build trust and camaraderie within the teams you lead.
You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You take initiative and have the work ethic necessary to make steady progress.
You have experience successfully coordinating projects across many stakeholder groups.
You excel at identifying dependencies and leveraging opportunities for connectivity between systems, technology projects, and data sources.
You have experience assessing internal and external technical tools and service offerings to determine the best solution for meeting intended project outcomes.
You have experience with supply chain compliance programs and working in global cross-functional teams.
You are never satisfied and always striving for continuous improvement.
You have knowledge of (or interest in) how Walmart buys, sources, and imports products, but recognize that the way we do this around the world is changing fast.
You have the confidence to step into and lead through complex issues with diverse stakeholders, and the humility to recognize that the best approaches and ideas could come from anywhere.
You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders, and are particularly capable at simplifying complex concepts and technologies.
You take a “customer-first”, empathetic approach to recognizing and resolving problems.
You demonstrate excellent emotional intelligence.
You use a data-driven approach to decision making and critical thinking.
You successfully lead through change
