What you'll do...
Job Summary:
The Walmart Network Operations Center (NOC) is a centralized collection of teams (Bentonville, AR) focused on specific business segments such as Enterprise Wireless, Enterprise Networks (Datacenter and Global WAN), and Store Wired Networks. The NOC serves as the first line of defense in our network to detect and address network events as they happen across the Walmart Enterprise.
About the Team:
The NOC monitors network performance. Network issues are brought up through alerting and dashboards. NOC engineers are normally engaged as L2 or L3 engineers to assist in telemetry for other issues whether that is client, server, or application. Monitor and address auto-generated alerts (tickets or email notification), dashboards, application tickets from the edge sites, Emergency Operations Center for weather/disaster issues, or in some cases, calls to the Contact Center.

What you’ll do …
- Identify opportunities to improve tools and monitoring.
- Splunk searches
- Monitor and maintain NOC queues.
- Ensure aged tickets are receiving updates.
- Ensure critical tickets are receiving updates.
- Ensure escalated issues are getting pushed and we are receiving updates in a timely manner.
- Ensure calls and tickets are not being sent to level 2 or above without full level 1 troubleshooting.
- Review tickets being logged for training opportunities.
- Ability to check and configure the following within Cisco controllers and Mist.
- Advanced client troubleshooting (debugs, handheld configurations, etc.)
- Intermediate Wireless Troubleshooting using tools outside of the wireless controller CLI.
- Ability to troubleshoot Walmart WIFI Intermediate LAN troubleshooting skills.
- Escalations - Oldest incidents, Circuits, Hardware/Switches/AP’s, Starlink/LEO, Self-Service Tickets

Minimum qualifications:
Effectively communication skills and the ability to identify and improve monitoring operations. Experience in network operations and service calls.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in performing Intermediate Wireless Troubleshooting along with experience in troubleshooting WIFI and intermediate LAN troubleshooting skills.
Prior demonstrated ability to handle scalations on hardware/software issues including but not limited to circuits, /Switches/AP’s, Starlink/LEO and Self-Service Tickets.
