About Team: Information Security Risk and Compliance

What you'll do:

Your day will include teaching and learning from other technologists across the organization.  One day you may be inventing a way to identify security issues without any traditional scanning means. The next you might be driving the development of a container security solution.  On another day, you might be incorporating empirical risk measurement capabilities with the results of Red Team Campaigns and third-party vendor assessments to determine major InfoSec spend and strategic initiatives.  You may even spend a day collaborating with Infrastructure and InfoSec cloud computing leads to develop a secure deployment strategy for Walmart.   One thing is for sure – you’ll never be bored.

What you'll bring:

You are a senior technologist who understands vulnerability identification, analysis and mitigation strategies and how to prioritize program goals in a risk informed manner.  You understand the various components of Network and Application Penetration testing, Red Teaming, Cyber Intelligence Operations, Decision Science and Decision Automation.  More importantly, you are able to synthesize the outputs of all of these disciplines into a coherent technical strategy that can be executed both in the long and short term.  You can provide technical mentoring and training for junior technical talent to enable them to grow their careers while contributing significantly to Walmart. You are a creative thinker who can find new ways of solving age-old problems.  You’re not afraid to upset the status quo.

Option 2: 8 years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Preferred Qualifications...

Certification in Security+, GISF, GSEC, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area and 4 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor - Certification, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional - Certification
