What you'll do...
As a part of the International Tech Sourcing Team, you will work with stakeholders in various parts of the business & world (Sourcing Associates, Merchant Demand Associates, Suppliers) to define their true problems and work with cross-functional teams (UX Design, UX Research, Product Management, Engineering) to solve real-time problems. You will think constantly about the potential futures, the implications for Walmart globally, the right strategy and rally the organization for best-in-class user experience research.
The right fit is an advanced human-design thinking and strategic researcher, passionate for engaging users via mixed-methods research and who will jump in and make an immediate impact.

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.
What you'll do:
- As a Senior UX Researcher you will make an impact in highly strategic and important initiatives.
- Apply your deep knowledge of user experience research and design, testing, and customer/user experience research to our core sourcing experiences and deeply empathize with the user.
- You will liaise within cross-functional partnerships across Business, Product, and Engineering and dedicate their collective creativity and execution to delivering experiences that bring joy to our customers/users, meeting them where they are.
- You will collaborate with teams around the globe including: India, Mexico, Chile, China, and Canada.
- You will own and craft effective research initiatives in the following way: Listening sessions, Gathering Quantitative/Qualitative data, Organizing data, and Executing on key finds to present to leadership (in order to help solve key problems with internal/external users).
- Think conceptually – applying a user-centered and human-centered design thinking approach to impact all stages of UX Research design development in order to directly solve Sourcing problems.
- Have a real impact at scale through Sourcing initiatives and incremental improvements that effect billions of our customers every day.
- Define and execute research methods appropriate to the Sourcing questions and problems at hand, including but not limited to field research and remote testing.
- Help teams understand customer needs, attitudes, and behaviors through mixed-methods research findings.
- Be part of a fun, humble team, collaborating with other researchers to deliver a cohesive user-centered experience.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience in Quantitative Research (both conducting it and analyzing).
- A portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX Research. This should also include approach and process.
- Proficiency with UX Research platforms & tools such as UserZoom, Usertesting.com, Lookback, Dscout.
- Experience conducting quantitative & qualitative on-line & field research methodologies with systems (for example, UserZoom, Feedback Ally).
- Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, gather qualitative/quantitative research, problem-solve, scope research requirements and prioritization.
- An ability and willingness to think and act strategically/tactically.
- Customer Experience Researcher knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills – including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, stakeholders, and senior executives.
- 8-10 years’ experience in UX Research.
- Data, Ethnographic, and ‘Human Design Thinking’ Research-driven mindset.
- Experience research methodology for data visualization in order to present to leaders.
- Storytelling, entrepreneurial drive, passion, vision and a humble approach to UX.
- A user-centric approach to solving complex UX challenges.
- Ability to influence, lead, manage stakeholders, guide leaders and communicate clearly.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.Option 2: 5 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
