Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Do you have experience managing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), desktop as a service (DaaS), or underlying infrastructure, hypervisor, and related products and services? The Windows Engineering VDI team is responsible for providing on-prem and cloud hosted virtual PCs for 30k associates and vendors. Our team is growing as demand increases for our solutions and services. We are looking for talented candidates who have knowledge, skills, and abilities in on-prem infrastructure management, Azure Cloud IaaS management, hypervisor administration, and working knowledge of one of the following solutions - VMware Horizon, Microsoft AVD, Citrix, or Frame. The ideal candidate will also have a developer administrator mindset and related skillset as we seek to implement automation and self-service technologies. This position partners closely with our associates and global tech teams to ensure stability, security, performance, and productivity for our virtual Windows endpoints.   • Design, implement, and maintain on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Manage the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software releases
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to identify and resolve issues
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Develop and implement security controls and processes to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and DevOps
  • Leveraging tools & channels – Partner with vendors and internal team members to optimize usage of our management systems, existing technologies, and available training.
  • Building strategic relationships: Maximize relationships with global tech teams and our customers, ensuring the best possible user experience and establishing a relationship built on trust and transparency.
  • Operating with excellence – Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering engineering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

What you'll bring:

  • The ability to motivate, communicate, written and verbally, work reliably as a team member and individually.

  • Maintain multiple virtual infrastructures, VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, Azure, and HCS
  • Maintain and update multiple PODs of virtual machines in multiple regions of the world
  • Deploy, maintain, and implement hosted virtual applications
  • A deep understanding of VMware products, vSphere, vRops, vCenter
  • Maintain and update various storage solutions across multiple regions for user profiles and Cohesity 
  • A passion for data and enjoy telemetry and data analytics
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines
