What you'll do...
Walmart’s Associate Digital Experience team provides solutions to the global Walmart business units enabling them to be productive utilizing a modern set of tools. The Endpoint team is a highly motivated group of engineers working to provide client solutions that are modern and easy to use. The focus of this team is to provide functional and secure Windows and Igel clients that are used in all business segments globally. The install base is very large which requires the team to deploy sustainable solutions that are resilient. This role will be responsible for driving change on the Endpoint team to stay current with the ever- changing trends in technology. This candidate will need to utilize creative problem-solving techniques to provide solutions for business led initiatives that deliver results with quality and speed. This is a Senior level, high visibility role and this candidate will lead and guide the team from a technical and strategic perspective for the Igel hardware, OS, and management platform as well as the physical Windows clients and hardware peripherals. You will partner with many other technology teams within Global Tech to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives.
About the Team:
Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.
What you'll do:
- Provide innovative solutions based on requirements that meet the needs of the business partners while maintaining a secure, manageable platform
- Create and maintain technology roadmaps and strategy
- Ensure proper capacity planning and architectural designs are maintained
- Modernize the “Workspace Experience” for home campus associates by testing peripherals and identifying ways to optimize customer experience and productivity.
- Partner with OEM’s to understand roadmaps and guide our international partners.
- Lead the Endpoint kiosk strategy to exceed customer expectations while maintaining costs.
What you'll bring:
- The ability to motivate, communicate, written and verbally, work reliably as a team member and individually.
- Ability to lead small groups of engineers in person and virtually.
- A comprehensive background maintaining a large-scale Igel environment while maintaining a secure and reliable ecosystem.
- The ability to utilize scripting or development tools to automate technical functions.
- Identification of ways to improve efficiencies or drive costs of solutions down.
- Ability to mentor and develop other associates by helping build their technical competencies and providing technical expertise on projects within the team.
- Ability to present technology roadmaps, strategy, and operations reviews with a diverse audience.
