What you'll do...

With WEM platform moving from RUN to TRANSFORM and expanding to support corporate and headless initiatives, the Enterprise Content team is in the need of a Staff Software Engineer to be the commander and chief and technical expert of all systems and software tech for our product portfolio. Initiatives that the x5 Staff Software Engineer will help drive are: Enterprise Search POC, improving systems performance and proactive alert monitoring to provide a service as to other applications - help triage through issues and be a partner and service to other areas strategizing on making our code accessible, review of code quality, creating a plan for moving to react, and reducing code vulnerabilities.

About the Team:
Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.

What you'll do:

• Strive for continuous improvement and raise ideas for improving the efficiency of their teams, looking at things holistically and identifying constraints. They need to have a good understanding of their product as well as their users and the market that it operates in.
• Serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports our product portfolio. Create and own the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs.
• Establish the best practices for the team by documenting thorough business requirements and standards for code review and QA.
