Senior Manager II, Data Science Management – Intelligence Development

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager, Sciences Management and Intelligence Development is a unique blend of a product manager and AI/ML steward at the world's largest omnichannel retailer! This exciting opportunity will lead the product development of our Customer/Associate Engines-our platform capabilities. This work will enable our team to deliver essential ML transformations within Walmart US. In this role, you will work primarily with data governance, data science / ML, analytics, operations and collaborate with functional teams across WMT US (Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Operations). The role is based in Bentonville, AR, and reports to the Senior Director II of Sciences Management.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

• You have strong product skills (not limited to but including discovery, backlog curation, relentless prioritization, road mapping, shepherding builds, collaborate with data scientists, and ownership of key business outcomes)
• You have a background in statistics, operations research, quantitative economics, ML/AI
• You demonstrate being able to communicate horizontally and vertically across many stakeholders
• You have experience in capability and platform development
• You have a desire to build, teach, and lead a team

You’ll make an impact by…

• Performing discovery, assessment, and ML/AI reengineering of existing decision engines to enable connected and harmonized intelligence to achieve targeted business outcomes
• Partnering with Operations and Product team on research and proposals for roadmap integrations of new and viable AI technologies including evaluation of 3rd party software
• Partnering with Retail Analytics to develop insights and pilot measurement of concepts in support of agile and iterative improvement processes
