Are you looking to help drive impact through quality business insights and analytics for a fast growing, high-impact area of the business? Sourcing Finance is just the place. Our team performs a critical role in partnering with Sourcing teams across strategic business areas including Food, Consumables, Health & Wellness. This Sr. Manager position will manage and oversee a broad range of critical financial activities including financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business analytics. In this role, you will partner to identify key sourcing opportunities and investment decisions to help deliver annual and long-range plans, while influencing and leading new ways of working both within finance and with our business partner teams.

This role will specifically manage our SG&A expenses and Headcount planning processes including Annual and Long-range planning, rolling forecast, and reporting processes, as well as designing processes and tools to enable the finance team to manage business performance more effectively.

You’ll make an impact by:

Driving Strategic Analytics: Understanding key sourcing processes, financial/operational metrics, and business goals and objectives to analyze, interpret, and communicate business performance, identify opportunities, and enable strategic investment decisions.

Being a Trusted Advisor: Quickly developing strong and trusting relationships with internal teams. Partner and participate in business strategy discussions and influence key business decisions with informed recommendations leveraging facts and data

Producing Informative Financial Materials – Creating and presenting financial information to business partners in a clear and concise manner demonstrating ability to articulate Sourcing impacts/opportunities to retail merchandising business

Delivering Data Driven Analysis - Sourcing and compiling relevant data; organizing and validating data prior to data analysis; consolidating and identifying exceptions and patterns in data; synthesizing data in the creation of actionable customer insights; and translating information into action plans.

Practicing Continuous Process Improvement – Working across the organization to identify and solve issues with a customer-oriented mindset, bringing new ideas forward and influencing positive change

Gaining An Understanding of Sourcing – Demonstrating ability to learn and keep up to date an understanding of Walmart Sourcing and new and creative solutions to help the business make the best choices.

Driving a New Way of Working – Advancing our journey to become a more digital and data driven team by utilizing and championing data visualization tools to drive the business and educating our stakeholders to promote adoption

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area

• 3+ years’ experience in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area

• 1+ years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects

• Experience working with Finance technologies, including Power BI and other data tools

• Experience across FP&A, process design, process mapping and process improvement

• Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

• Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
