Position Summary...
What you'll do...
The Director of Radio & Audio will set the strategic vision and lead the team responsible for the day-to-day management of Walmart and Sam’s Club radio. This unique platform is digitally streamed to more than 5,000 stores, clubs and facilities, and reaches an audience of more than 1.5 million Walmart associates and 150 million customers across the U.S. each week. This role sits on the Digital Strategy & Brand Engagement team within Global Communications at Walmart.
Exceptional judgment, proactive vision-setting, people leadership, cultural awareness and relentless creative thinking are paramount to this role. Working closely with our partners in Communications, Walmart Connect, Marketing and Global Tech, this role’s top priority is leading the team responsible for building a two-way sonic relationship with our associates, customers and stakeholders by telling unforgettable stories and extending the impact of Walmart and Sam’s Club’s communication campaigns.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Directing radio and audio vision, strategy and execution while maintaining an exceptional eye for detail and proactively looking for opportunities to evolve
- Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team while curating a collaborative environment where our DJs are empowered to explore their creativity and own their responsibilities
- Providing expert counsel to business partners and communication leaders in dynamic conditions, as well as helping scale the infrastructure needed to consistently reach our audiences
- Constructively challenging conventional approaches by generating, testing and learning from bold ideas that break through and resonate
