The Senior Manager I, Finance is a critical role combining digital data literacy with trend analysis, budgeting, process controls, expense targeting and forecasting to optimize business performance across multiple core groups surrounding retail merchandising. The Retail Merchandising Strategy Group works to analyze and provide process improvements for multiple business units within the company’s retail sphere.
What You'll Do...
Provides direction to the financial planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling; recommending future expense targets; and planning of business performance in partnership across multiple areas including Merchandising, Operations, eCommerce and Logistics
Offers decision support for domain groups by developing financial forecasts; assisting with business solutions; leading ad-hoc projects as requested by business domain groups; analyzing financial impact of technologies, systems, and processes and providing insights to senior management; and assisting in project implementation
Collaborates with management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives
Gives feedback to management regarding risks associated with financial projects; supporting the business unit budget process. Shares insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends
Manages complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring; guiding cross-functional teams to develop new processes; ensuring proper controls for new and existing financial functions
Develops and communicates business plans and priorities; identifying and removing barriers that impact performance
Conducts regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards as well as coaching for success
Promotes and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics standards through training and execution
Supports and participates in community outreach events

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1+ years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
1+ years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
Building, developing, and implementing quality programs/systems, Digital Data Literacy in SQL, RBI, Tableau with ability to code and write queries
