Walmart is building the Supply Chain of the future that will achieve success through innovative, driven, and dynamic engineering leaders who will leverage their expertise around automation, engineering and retail to design and implement market changing capabilities for our distribution, fulfilment, and retail centers.   • An excitement for leading teams in solving complex problems that shape the future of supply chain
  • Design, implemented, and/or improved automation technology in both new and established environments
  • Demonstrated the ability to adapt automation to retail distribution or fulfillment applications
  • Hands-on experience sourcing and manipulating data to support your recommendations to leadership
  • The ability to communicate technical needs of the situation to fully integrate product, automation and operations partners to ensure a sustainable solution
  • Background in strategy development/documentation to understand and drive out losses with successful change management strategies and examples of successful deployments.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Defining vision and strategies for automation technologies through gathering requirements, building business cases, and solving implementation challenges
  • Integrating large-scale automation technology for distribution centers that enhances safety, quality, service, operational efficiencies, and OEE
  • Implementing efficiencies and best practices in automation and operations to help speed the delivery and quality of products
  • Growing, influencing, and managing high-visibility key relationships

What you will need:

  • Degree in engineering or computer science
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in automation design and implementation. Distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Advanced usage of data query and presentation software to manipulate and present data
  • Understanding of algorithms, processes, and technology to recommend and implement solutions
