Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Provides clinical leadership, oversees quality efforts, and executes clinical operations for Walmart Health's Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Value Based Care operations.
Mentors and guides Market Directors to improve health care access for Walmart Health customers.
Oversees and participates in the development, documentation, implementation, and interpretation of local medical policies and procedures.
Develops and oversees the means, structure, and environment needed to effectively utilize available resources and ensure that customers have access to appropriate medical care.
Participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care provided to customers.
Supervises State Medical Directors. Provides performance feedback, reviews, and mentorship. Oversees provider education, in-service training, and orientation.
Serves as the clinical hiring manager for an assigned market and recruits physicians and advanced practice practitioners. Ensures the sourcing of clinical talent with the appropriate mix of clinical skills and characteristics needed to attract and retain a high-performing team.
Oversees all components of medical management in the assigned market.
Chairs credentialing committees and work with Compliance on credentialing policies.
Participates in weekly clinical leadership team meetings and other senior leadership meetings as necessary.
Supports the Vice President, Clinical Operations with the development of strategy for Walmart Health's Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Value Based Care operations.
Leads the transformation of clinical providers into Value Based Care delivery.
Participates in payer negotiations and clinical strategy for Value Based Care.
Partners with Compliance to oversee documentation and coding standards.
Partners with other leaders to create and present at quarterly business reviews.
Provides overall direction by

- analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements
- evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results
- identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by
- diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting, selecting, and developing talent
- supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by
- integrating these values into all programs and practices
- developing consequences for violations or non-compliance and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by
- sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives
- engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Health, Rehabilitation or Social Services or related area.MD or DO and license to practice medicine in at least one state.
Prior experience in SDOH, healthcare equity or related.
5 years’ healthcare management experience.
5 years’ experience in value based care delivery and leadership.
Prior work experience in an organization with multiple levels, multiple locations, or multiple functions.
Prior work experience designing, implementing, and evaluating the performance of clinical professionals.
