Summary of Job Duties:

Basic Functions

The Recruitment Coordinator oversees the College’s efforts to recruit students into programs. The recruiter works closely with the Recruitment Coordinator, the Dean of Student Services, the Director of Student Life and Engagement, and a host of other faculty and staff to ensure all recruitment efforts are well supported and implemented to the fullest.




Caring Campus Responsibilities: As a member of the UACCB community, each employee is responsible for advancing the Caring Campus culture to enhance student connection and success and to embody the campus purpose: Improve Lives. Key duties include adhering to the campus name badge policy, treating all visitors as guests, engaging with the campus community by reviewing institutional communications, participating in campus events, and supporting a collaborative, positive workplace environment.





Position Duties

50% Student Recruitment & Outreach

Conducts regular visits to targeted high schools, businesses, and community organizations for the purposes of recruiting prospective students

Represents UACCB at college and career fairs and business expositions

Provides admissions and career counseling to prospective students in relationship to the College’s programs and pathways.

Attends evening recruitment-related activities and events

Completes limited overnight travel for recruitment events

40% School & Community Events

Maintains regular contact with high school counselors and career coaches

Maintains regular contact with business and industry partners

Organizes, implements, and participates in education and community partner events as a representative of the College

Hosts planning and appreciation events for education and community partners



5% Campus Events & Ambassador Training

Assist with the planning and implementation of on-campus recruitment events

Coordinate and assist with campus tours as needed, when other student and staff teams are unavailable.

Train student ambassadors on the conducting of campus tours

Train student ambassadors on the conducting of off-site recruitment events

5% Institutional Support

Assists with all aspects of the recruitment and admission of new and returning students

Serves on various work groups and committees for the College

Other duties as assigned

Principles and practices of higher education recruitment and student services, particularly within the community college mission.

Federal, state, and local policies and regulations affecting higher education (e.g., FERPA, ADA/Section 504, Title IV).

Workforce development, transfer pathways, dual enrollment, and community partnerships.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to qualify to drive on state business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to two years of experience in a direct college admissions or recruitment role

Salary Information:

$32,000 - $38,000
