Summary of Job Duties:
This position serves as the Workday Report Developer on the Technical team, reporting to the Reporting and Analytics Lead. This position will be an integral part of the transformative team in charge of data reporting and analysis for the Workday Student Implementation at the University of Arkansas System.This role requires a technically inclined reporting professional capable of supporting complex reporting logic, data modeling, and advanced analytical use cases, including Workday Prism Analytics.
Job Duties for this position include
• Analyzing reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and report design
• Developing and maintaining simple to highly complex Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, BIRT) using Workday Report Writer, Report Designer, and Workday Prism Analytics
• Designing, building, and maintaining advanced calculated fields, derived datasets, and data transformations, following Workday and industry best practices
• Supporting reporting scenarios that require multi‑step logic, aggregations, joins, and derived metrics, particularly for Prism‑based analytics
• Designing and developing accurate dashboards to enhance operations and provide leadership the ability to make strategic decisions
• Partnering with stakeholders (functional teams and institutional teams) to understand report/data requirements and ensure results meet the business needs
• Working with security team to build reports in accordance with the System’s security policy to support the evolving reporting needs of the organizations
• Developing and executing unit test and/or system test plans for reports ensuring delivery of a quality product
• Troubleshooting report related issues and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Assessing change impact and maintaining proper change management documentation to satisfy the Project’s internal/external audit controls
• Managing development progress by tracking activity and periodically publishing status updates.
• Actively participating in Workday Community by researching, contributing to content, voting on enhancements, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of related experience in technical reporting, analytics, or data development

Demonstrated strong technical aptitude, including hands‑on experience with one or more of the following:
SQL or SQL like querying
Relational databases or data modeling concepts
Programming or scripting used for data processing, transformation, or reporting logic
Proven experience developing complex, logic‑driven reports or datasets, not limited to basic or transactional reporting
Ability to independently analyze ambiguous requirements and translate them into technically sound reporting solutions
Willing and able to work remotely with occasional travel as needed
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
Experience with statistical analysis and reporting financial, HR, academic and or medical data
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Human Resources, Finance, Student Financial Aid, Student Records, etc.
Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, or comparable analytical/data platforms involving dataset creation and transformation
Prior technical experience with Workday, including Report Writing is a preferred skillset.
